WARRANTY POLICY
WARRANTY POLICY
The products of TEXAS GLASS DOOR are handmade and individually finished at our factory. Therefore, minor differences between similar products are considered normal and not a defect covered under our Warranty Policy.
Our doors are not hurricane doors and are neither intended to nor warranted to function as hurricane doors. For customers residing in areas with extreme weather changes, we recommend purchasing our Thermal Break feature, which prevents the interior of the door from freezing during winter months and helps prevent hot temperatures in summer.
How long is the warranty? Since our products are handmade, minor differences in design and finish may occur. We do not consider these product differences to be defects.
This warranty is effective from the date of delivery.
Frame, hinges, welds, and other hardware: lifetime warranty.
Paint coating:
10-year warranty (for environment C2-C3)
2-year warranty (for environment C4-C5)
Note: Normal wear and tear, including aging and wear from exposure to natural elements and regular use, is a natural and unavoidable process and is not covered under warranty. Incorrect or careless installation, maintenance, or use is not covered by our Warranty Policy.
Paint bubbling, scratches, dents, or warping around lock areas and other issues arising from improper installation or transportation will not be covered by our warranty.
Glass: Our warranty policy is strict as follows: Glass that becomes cloudy due to normal use and not improper care, use, or cleaning, such as washing the door with a garden hose, is covered for up to one (1) year after the original delivery/pickup date.
Please note that when receiving the goods or authorizing a third party to receive them, you need to inspect the condition of the items and sign for acceptance. Any defects arising after delivery, such as broken or cracked glass, will not be covered under warranty.
What will we do to resolve the issue? We cover repair costs up to five hundred dollars ($500) for any door sold and covered under TEXAS GLASS DOOR's Warranty Policy that is confirmed by
TEXAS GLASS DOOR to have poor craftsmanship.
This warranty coverage is not per incident, but the total cost of all repairs you request. You will be responsible for repair costs once the five hundred dollar ($500) warranty coverage is exceeded.
Warranty timeframes will be communicated to you in advance. Arrangements and scheduling for repair work must be communicated to us. We will not honor the warranty or agree to it if you do not cooperate or adhere to the previously notified timeframes.
In-home warranty repairs will be scheduled in advance and must be confirmed with both the customer and the repair staff. Any sudden cancellations by the customer without at least one day's notice will incur travel fees, which will be deducted from the warranty amount.
What is not covered under the warranty?
This warranty does not cover the following:
Damage from natural elements such as storms or flooding.
Damage from abuse, replacement, or repairs of doors damaged from misuse.
Damage due to accidents.
Damage occurring during installation.
Steel door products exposed to temperatures below freezing may experience condensation inside the door. This depends on the moisture level inside the building and is not considered a defect.
No coverage for damage from scratches caused by feet, pets, debris, or other objects, damage from corrosive chemicals or reactions, whether accidental or intentional.
Scratches, cracks, or other damage to glass, either accidental or intentional, are not covered.
Swing doors allowing air or water penetration.
Doors installed at entrances without a roof overhead. Coverage must be equal to or greater than ½ the height of the door. (For example, an 8ft door must have a minimum 4ft overhead roof covering).
We are not responsible for any labor costs related to the installation, removal, or reinstallation of doors. This warranty is strictly limited to the cost of repairing or replacing sold products.
Although Texas Glass Door’s windows and doors are galvanized, we do not recommend direct exposure to water or cleaning agents. Washing windows or doors with a garden hose is improper care and will void your warranty.
If you do not intend to install the door immediately upon delivery, you should store it indoors in a dry place, away from weather elements (e.g., sun, rain). You should also keep the protective padding on the door until you are ready to install it. Improper storage after delivery will void your warranty.
How to obtain warranty service? Please note that it may take ten (10) to fifteen (15) days to process your claim under our Warranty Policy and to determine the appropriate solution.
